FULL-STACK ENGINEER (FRONTEND FOCUS)
Backtrace is dedicated to building the best debugging technology for today’s software. Our flagship product improves software reliability, quality, and support by automating software error detection, response, and resolution. Backtrace is used by everything from the most popular video games, consumer electronics, productivity tools to large-scale appliances and server infrastructure. We’re a diverse, technical group joined by a mission to make software better, and are looking to add a full-stack engineer with a frontend/UI focus to complement our dynamic user-interface.
You will have an opportunity to work with advanced technologies in the area of frontend performance, microservice architecture, and internationalization. We work with some of the best engineering teams at companies such as Amazon, Microsoft and Electronic Arts to process terabytes of memory dumps and error data a month. That’s a LOT of data to allow a user to navigate and visualize.
Our UI is built in a cutting-edge front-end technology (ReasonReact). This position leans heavily toward frontend UI work, but would include the opportunity to also work on our service APIs.
The position is remote and our engineering team is distributed across the globe.
Responsibilities:
Work directly with product leadership and other engineers to build elegant and differentiated product capabilities.
About You:
2-3+ years of frontend engineering experience.
1-3+ years of Node API design and implementation.
Fluency using Javascript, HTML/CSS, ReactJS (or an equivalent modern frontend framework), git.
Experience with Single Page Application architecture
You have initiative and are able to see it through when given the opportunity.
You are passionate and care about building a culture of learning and teaching. You love to challenge yourself to improve and share your knowledge to empower others.
You care about the big picture and strive to understand root causes to build long-lasting solutions.
Bonus: Experience in React/ReasonML
