Nittygritty.net started in 2003 as two people providing IT support for architecture and engineering firms. Over the last 15 years we’ve expanded to 25 staff, and added application support and software development teams focused on delivering great solutions.
The software development team build and maintain a range of products, from SaaS services to iPhone apps, with our tech stack built for the most part using on React and ReactNative on the front end.
You will be joining us as a junior developer to expand our current team of three developers, working with ReasonReact to build our new product family due for release early next year.
Your primary focus will be the front end, but as a small team we want everyone to understand the full stack, and will encourage you to gain experience with our back end technologies too as appropriate.
You will support us with the design and development of ReasonReact based applications for cloud platforms.
Your tasks will include:
Programming in ReasonML and ReasonReact
Discussing design and concepts with the team
Helping with code reviews
Suggesting ways to improve our processes
You will want to be a big part of a small team.
You will be looking to program in a more functional style and be willing to learn ReasonML (our primary implementation language)
We are looking for coding aptitude over technical qualifications. We’re looking to give an opportunity to someone who is good at coding but lacks employment experience to help them get on the career ladder.
You should have some experience with React and Javascript, experience with ReasonML would be a bonus.
